The research internship is a modality of academic stay in which a foreign researcher (student or young researcher) wishes to participate in a scientific activity in either a Research Center or a Research Group in a School at UTP.

Research Internship Requirements

  • If you are a student you must be enrolled in a partner university that has an agreement with UTP [see agreements]. If your university does not have an agreement, it may apply but you must comply with UTP Rules and Regulations. You must present a prove of enrollment.
  • Identify the Research Center or the Research Group where you wish to make your stay at UTP. Please check our website: http://www.utp.ac.pa/introduccion-investigacion
  • Submit a motivation letter stating your research topic of interest, a proposal plan, and the name of the prospective tutor at UTP.
  • A letter of support from your home university.
  • Complete the exchange request format [Formulario-Interno-Del-Exterior-a-la-UTP].
  • File the visa  http://www.utp.ac.pa/profesores-investigadores-y-administrativos-del-exterior-la-utp  or corresponding permit according to the activity to be carried out.
  • A copy of your passport.
  • Send a copy of the previous documents to the Office of International Affairs by email (relaciones.internacionales@utp.ac.pa) and/or aybeth.mosquera@utp.ac.pa.

After receiving these documents, the Direction of International Affairs will send you a letter of acceptance from a tutor at UTP, so that the mobility can take place.
